Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about getting started in water restoration and what’s inside the 6-Figure Launchpad.
Getting started
Do I need experience to start?
No. The Launchpad starts at the very beginning, with how to handle the first phone call, and walks you step by step through the whole job. Contractors will move faster because they’re already comfortable on job sites, but plenty of people start from zero. I started as a bag boy, a cook, and a call center worker.
Do I need to buy a lot of equipment?
No. You can rent air movers and dehumidifiers and subcontract labor while you build up jobs. The one tool I recommend owning from day one is a moisture meter. Buy more equipment one piece at a time, paid for by jobs you’ve already completed.
Do I need insurance?
I ran my first three years doing water jobs with no insurance. Mold jobs and commercial jobs are different, and that’s when you get insured. Requirements vary by state, so check your local rules. I cover what to look for in the program.
Do I need a license or certification?
Certification: Get your WRT (Water Restoration Technician) certification from the IICRC. It isn’t a legal requirement in most states, but it’s the industry standard. Adjusters, insurance companies, and property managers expect it, and it’s one of the first things they’ll ask about. The program shows you how and when to get it.
License: Most states don’t license basic water mitigation, but some require a contractor license for certain repairs. Mold work is licensed in some states, including Florida, Texas, New York, and Louisiana. Always check with your state’s licensing board.
Does this work outside Florida?
Yes. Water damage happens in every state, and the system works anywhere: intake, documentation, estimating, collections, and getting referrals from realtors and property managers. I teach people across the U.S.
How fast will I land my first job?
It depends on your effort, your market, and how consistently you follow the outreach plan. It won’t happen overnight, and I won’t promise you a timeline. What I will promise is the 120-Day Action Promise: do the work, and if you haven’t landed a job after 120 days, I’ll keep working with you 1-on-1 until you do.
Is this insurance work or cash jobs?
Both. The program teaches you how to price insurance work and direct-pay work separately so you never get burned. And the Cash Jobs Only System bonus shows you how to get paid fast on simple direct-pay jobs with no insurance waiting game. Everything I teach is ethical: no storm-chasing and no insurance fraud.
About the 6-Figure Launchpad
What do I get for $997?
All 8 modules with assignments in every section, the full template library, a private community, a 45-minute 1-on-1 call with me, lifetime access, and two bonuses: the Cash Jobs Only System and First 5 Restoration Jobs. See everything inside.
What happens on the 1-on-1 call?
We talk about where you are and map out your first moves. I’ll give you my personal game plan for landing your first job in your market, the one I don’t put in any video.
How long do I have access?
Lifetime access, including future updates.
Do you offer refunds?
No. All sales are final, because you get everything up front. Instead of a refund, I offer the 120-Day Action Promise: complete the assignments and follow the outreach plan for 120 days, and if you still haven’t landed your first job, I’ll keep working with you 1-on-1 until you do.
Why $997 when other courses charge more?
I’ve paid $2,000 and more for classes that gave me nothing I could use. I keep the Launchpad at $997 on purpose, because I want to help people get started, not drain them. One small water job can pay it back.
Does the Launchpad cover mold?
Yes. The Launchpad starts with water, because that’s where most people should begin and where the steady money is, and it includes mold training too. Mold rules and insurance requirements vary by state, so I also show you what to check before you take mold jobs where you live.
I already run a restoration business. Is this for me?
If you want tighter systems for intake, documentation, estimating, and collections, yes. If you just want ready-made templates, my Templates All-Access Bundle is available in the store.
